Experience Australia Zoo

One of the most esteemed Sunshine Coast must see and do experiences is visiting Queensland’s most beloved zoo, Australia Zoo. The internationally adored Steve Irwin, and his wife Terri assisted in the growth of the park, seeing it now expand across 700 acres, and counting, with a strong focus on conservation and wildlife education. Here, you will be able to encounter an abundance of Australian animals such as koalas, kangaroos, lizards, and even snakes, as well as glorious elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, and the ever-so-popular Sumatran tigers.

One of the all-time favourite events that occur at this awesome Sunshine Coast must see zoo, are the live shows. Here, you will experience crocodile feeding, otters, and koalas, as well as birds of prey. Sometimes, you may even get lucky and get to see Terri, Bindi, and Robert Irwin work their magic with the animals in the Crocoseum.

PYO Strawberries at Palmview

Nothing beats picking your own strawberries and enjoying them right from the crop. At a farm in Palmview, you can do just that. Between the months of June and November, take yourself and your friends or family to Laxton Road, Palmview strawberry fields and enjoy the freshly made strawberry ice cream, scrumptious pancakes with strawberries, or simply pick your own and take them home.

Established in 1980 and being open to the public for a majority of that time, this Sunshine Coast must see allows schools to plan educational tours, and parents can plan their children’s birthdays right here at the farm. This expansive and beautiful location is a must-see destination, providing you with fresh fruit, beautiful weather, and friendly faces.

Dive into Underwater World

If you’ve always wondered what life is like under the sea, more specifically here in Australia, you can experience that and so much more at Mooloolaba’s A Unique Underwater World. Boasting attractions such as tidal touch pools where you can feel the texture of starfish and learn about stingrays, visit the jellyfish kingdoms, billabongs, and freshwater streams, as well as watch shark dives, and get lost among the seahorse sanctuary.

It’s no lie that most of us have daydreamed about being able to swim through the ocean unharmed, and at this location, it’s almost possible. Spend some time under the water tunnels where sharks and stingrays glide overtop and all around, giving you the deep blue experience you’ve always wanted.
