An Experience Not to Miss
Sunrise or Sunset atop Mt. Coolum
There’s something surreal about witnessing the sunset or sunrise after you’ve made the trek up a mountain. The trials and tribulations of getting there make the view seem just that little bit extra special. While Mt. Coolum is certainly not one of Australia’s tallest mountains standing at only 208m above sea-level, it does, however, offer some breathtaking 360-degree views of the coastal area including Point Cartwright and the Glass House Mountains. Better suited for relatively fit-walkers as there are steep, rocky sections, climbing this dome-shaped mountain is a short 1.6 km return trip that on average takes about 2-hours and is one of the Sunshine Coast’s ‘not-to-miss’ experiences.
